HOW IT WORKS – SCIENCE

Prepare to experience a new kind of workout. As little as 20 minutes, once a week, delivers the health benefits of 3-5 hours of traditional exercise. Slow motion resistance training focuses on deliberately slow and controlled movements, taking around 20 seconds per repetition. By moving this slowly you are increasing the workload of the muscle in a much shorter time span. You spend about 90 to 120 straight seconds working into the deepest layers of muscle fibers to achieve total muscle failure. Our unique Keiser equipment eliminates any chance of cheating by using the weight's own momentum. Within two minutes your work is finished for that specific muscle group! Five to six more sets on other pieces of equipment gives you a total body workout… and then you're ready to go! Because the exercises work the muscles so thoroughly, you only need to work out once a week.

During this rest period, you body is building new core muscle fibers which increases your strength and even helps you burn more calories. That’s right…because muscle burns more calories than fat, adding muscle to your body can actually increase your basal metabolic rate -- the number of calories you burn each day at rest. So just through strength training alone, you can burn more calories even while you are sitting on the computer or sleeping!  Building muscle also improves bone density, vascular efficiency, cosmetics, joint stability, and general endurance. Strength training is especially important considering that between the ages of 20 and 50, the average individual loses 15 pounds of muscle and gains 30 pounds of fat.
